Hi, I’m Amber

Hi, I’m Amber J. Adams, a multi-creative millennial who is rebuilding and reimagining my life at the grand age of 39 and a half!

This space is a cumulation of my belief that at this stage in life, we have to be proactive about seeking joy, new experiences, and growth.

I write to share my thoughts and adventures, coach to help you move beyond feeling stuck in life and career, and host a podcast to expose you to new ideas and people who can inspire you to reimagine your life, too!

My story & Philosophy

“There is magic in owning your unique story”

The story of this space began in 2010 when I created my first blog, The Fab Life Project. At the time, I was an angsty twenty-something who feared becoming a jaded thirty-something powering through a mundane existence.

Add to that the realization that all millennials had post-2008 recession that the whole “go to school, work hard, and you’ll be fine!” was the biggest lie ever told and sold. It inspired me to create a space on the web where millennials could discuss ideas for challenging the status quo by defining happiness and success on our terms.

But here’s my confession: I fell into a status quo stupor in my early thirties.

I felt like I was sleepwalking through my life. I ended up in a job that bored me to tears, with no sense of direction, and feeling the frustration of having my potential trapped.

Well!  The universe gave me a giant kick in the form of being laid off from my job just before I signed a lease for an apartment in NYC.

It was the wakeup call I needed. In less than a year, I decided to leave NYC, take a travel sabbatical, and redefine my approach to life.

Traveling opened my eyes to the ways that we can reimagine our lives even as we age.

After traveling, I moved back to NYC, where I pivoted yet again to a career in advertising. I finally got my coaching certification after years of sitting on that dream.

In 2022, my life changed again when I met my former partner, a British man who inspired me to cross the pond to try life in London. We had a grand time, but sadly, our relationship ended, and by March of 2024, I was back in NYC, facing the idea of reimagining and rebuilding my life at a crucial moment with 40 on the horizon.

All of the changes, pivots, and lessons learned have inspired me to dedicate this space to being one where we can explore what it means to seek joy, new experiences, and growth in our late thirties, forties, and beyond.

Through my podcast, coaching services, and writing, I want to challenge, inspire, and create space for you to feel empowered to try new things while expanding and evolving your story of who you are and what you can be at any age.

Thank you for joining me on this journey!
